Bighorn Sheep and Rocky Mountain Goat

This is a 10-day hunt including everything except your sleeping bag. Hiking the beautiful slopes and mountains of the back-country, this trip will offer an optimum challenge to any hardy soul interested in pursuing these rugged animals. Due to our hard won experience and in depth knowledge of the area, we have enjoyed a near perfect success rate on our hunts. Our success rate does not come easily. We spend many days scouting and preparing for the hunt before your arrival. During the hunt we utilize horses and mules to access the sheep and goat country and continue from roving camps. Our days are spent glassing the slopes and moving until a trophy class Ram or Billy is spotted.

All sheep and goat permits in Idaho are received through lottery. Applications must be sent to the Idaho Fish and Game Department no later than April 30th. All applicants are notified of the results by June 10th. We will be happy to assist you with the process.

Spring Black Bear Hunts

April 15th – June 30th

This is the most beautiful, relaxing time to hunt the back-country. The Middle Fork comes to life with the greens of Spring. The bears have just recently sauntered from their dens and are sporting a coat of fur unequaled the balance of the year. These hunts are conducted with the use of horses. The method we use is “spot and stalk”. Using high vantage points, we nestle into our optics until the right bear is spotted and then plan a successful stalk.

The hunt can either be based from the deluxe accommodations of the Middle Fork Lodge or a comfortable tent camp; depending on your desires and the hunting conditions. This trip is normally seven exciting days. Non-hunters are always welcome.

Cost: $3,650 per person
Second bear: $1,500 additional per person
$350 per day for Non-hunters
Plus taxes, hunting tags licensing fees and transportation to and from the Middle Fork Lodge.

Fall Combo Elk, Deer, Bear & Wolf

Sept. 15th – Nov. 18th

This is a trophy hunter’s dream. Join us for one of the few opportunities to hunt bugling bulls. We have readily accessible tags during September and early October. “Bugling” a bull elk into close range is an experience that will never be forgotten. Our mid October and November hunts offer the opportunity to observe large numbers of game through binoculars and spotting scopes. The early snow brings out the deer in rut and concentrates the game on the open slopes where they are more visible. There may also be an opportunity to take a black bear on these hunts before they hibernate in early November.

The hunts are conducted with the use of horses from full camps. The camps are made as comfortable as possible while maintaining the integrity of the wilderness. They consist of wall tents with dry flooring, wood stoves, lanterns and cots with mattresses. The cook tents are large and the hearty, delicious meals are served here through the day. This hunt is normally eight days long.

Cost for September-October:
1 hunter with 1 guide: $7,700
2 hunters with 1 guide: $7,100 per person

Cost for November:
1 hunter with 1 guide: $8,300
2 hunters with 1 guide: $7,700 per person
Plus taxes, hunting tags, licensing fees, and transportation to and from the Middle Fork Lodge.
