Spectacular mountain and river scenery await those who discover this unspoiled wilderness. Middle Fork Lodge covers a sprawling and pristine 80 acres in the heart of the Frank Church Wilderness. The Lodge offers the amenities of a five-star resort while maintaining the unique character of a wilderness retreat. It truly is the perfect balance between comfort and adventure.

There are many accommodations to choose from and each is furnished with marble bathrooms, deluxe bedding, and custom furniture. The guest quarters are heated by on-site geothermal hot springs. You can chose to stay in the original Homesteader’s Cabin, the Upper Lodge, the Honeymoon Cabin, the River House, the Family Cabin, the Main Lodge, or one of our River Cabins.

The Main Lodge is the heart of Middle Fork and was designed by one of the Northwest’s leading architects, Janet Jarvis. The Dining Hall in the Main Lodge is the gathering place for our gourmet ranch-style meals. The Great Room offers the perfect place for evening activities or just relaxing in front of the river stone fireplace. There is also a kitchenette where guests can find snacks and refreshments throughout the day.

Guests at the Middle Fork Lodge enjoy quiet solitude and the magnificent beauty. Hike up the trail to the hot springs or relax on a deck overlooking the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. Since there are no neighboring ranches, villages or cities, there is no light pollution and the brilliance of the night sky is astounding.

The Lodge is open year-round and has activities to suit every season.

Special interest trips are available throughout the year. Each stay at the Lodge is unique. We look forward to customizing the details of your trip at the time of booking.
