In the heart of Idaho’s Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, pristine mountain lakes and streams await you; a fly-fishing paradise. The Middle Fork has been catch and release since the 1970’s and the river maintains an extremely healthy population of native fish. West slope cutthroat trout (Salmo clarki) and rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri) are in abundance and grow up to 16 inches. Fishing is done with barbless hooks.
Fly-fishing on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River is legendary. It consistently ranks as one of America’s premier blue-ribbon fisheries. Whether you are a novice or a veteran fly-fisherman, you will find great fishing here.
